What can I expect my donation to be used for?

Donations are used to purchase medical supplies and specific equipment for our missions. Funds are also used to ship those supplies. By donor request, donations may also be used to purchase specialized instruments that can be used to perform surgical procedures. This specialized equipment is necessary not only due to the extremely small size of the patient, but also the complexity of the procedures performed. Finally, donations are used to buy specific medications, which are vital to the recovery of small children after surgery, but are too expensive or unavailable to the patient.

For a list of specific instruments and materials needed, please contact us. Donors can always be assured that their funds will go directly to the children in need.

Is my donation tax deductible?

YES!

Children's Heart Project is a publicly supported organization, with the foundation status classification of 509 (c) (3). All donations are acknowledged by letter, which also serves as a receipt for income tax purposes. Donors may deduct contributions to this organization as provided in Section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code.
